0:20 – Welcome to the show!

0:40 – Welcome Dr Sian Prior.

2:16 – Sian: I have brief moments of panic about over-sharing in my books. I just have to talk myself down from those fears.

3:53 – Sian: When I write, I have to focus, and I give to ask myself to hard questions and see things in a fresh light

4:27 – Jo: it’s a topic that is personal and painful, and also weirdly political where everything thinks they should have an opinion.

10:18 – Sian: “Because I’m childless, people assume I’m selfish. It adds insult to injury.”

12:30 – Sian: “I was so busy looking ahead, I didn’t allow myself to sit in the space I was in.”

25:27 – Thanks for joining us!

Let's talk!

Endometriosis is a condition that many people live with which can affect their lives, in many ways, including their earning capabilities.. Kat Stanley (no relation to Jo Stanley!) joins Jo and Annie Louey to talk about why keeping the conversation about the disease alive is so important, and how we still have so much to learn in terms of ways to treat it.

Then Donna Johnson, Founder of Zena Sport joins us to tell us how she came up with the idea of creating the Zena impact protection vest, the most advanced female breast and rib protection for contact sports.. or as we called it.. ‘boob armour!’ Fierce huh?

We hear how she went from coming up with this idea to having it taken up by the AFLW.. and how this garment means freedom for so many girls and women who love their sport.
